The tool head of the milling machine is one of the commonly used accessories of the milling machine, and it is because of its high frequency of use that the tool head of the milling machine will appear easy to wear. However, can we take some measures to maintain and maintain the tool head, so as to extend the service life of the tool head? The answer is yes. Correct maintenance and maintenance methods can extend the service life of the tool head.



1. Use a rotating blade

By increasing the ratio of the diameter D of the cutter head to the diameter D of the fixed axis, the cutter teeth in the cutting process will rotate automatically in the tooth base, and the rotation of the cutter teeth will make the tip grind automatically, thus improving the service life of the cutter head.



2. The tool head is treated with thermal spraying technology



Thermal spraying is a kind of heat source, use the spraying material heated to a molten state, and through the air blowing, make its atomization high-speed jet to the workpiece surface, in order to form the surface of the spraying layer processing technology, thermal spraying technology can deposit ceramic coatings on metal substrate, the ceramic high temperature resistance, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance and other properties and strong toughness, and machinability of metal materials, conductive thermal conductivity characteristics, in order to obtain the ideal composite coating product, is the modern composite materials and products developed in the field of an important development direction.



A layer of hard and wear-resistant alloy is sprayed on the head of the tool head by the thermal spraying process. The alloy layer and the tool head have good metallurgical combination and the characteristics of high hardness, wear-resistant and non-brittle crack. The service life is about 0.5 -- 1.0 times higher than that of the traditional cemented carbide cutting teeth, and the preparation process is simple.



3. The tool head is treated by surfacing welding technology

In the traditional position of cemented carbide tip, the tip is surfacing according to the shape of the cutting teeth. The main alloying elements of surfacing coating are W, CR and V, and the content of alloying elements is basically the same as that of W-series high speed steel, and the coating is in melting state. Therefore, the structure of the coating is similar to that of cast high speed steel, which is composed of skeletal eutectic leutenite and austenite transformation products, ensuring high hardness and wear resistance of the coating. The hardness of coating is 660, 6HV, although not as high as the hard alloy, but in comparison, the impact resistance of coating is better than the hard alloy.
