Coated Sand DO-Type Floating Seal: Manufactured using the coated sand casting process, the DO-type floating seal is a light-duty, non-contact mechanical seal designed for demanding operating conditions. It consists mainly of two cone-shaped metal sealing rings and two O-rings, and is widely used in construction and mining machinery. Metal Sealing Rings: Made of high-alloy cast iron with a tapered cross-section. The sealing surfaces are precision-ground for excellent wear and impact resistance. O-Rings: Commonly made of NBR or HNBR, providing axial preload and compensation for installation tolerances and thermal expansion. Assembly: The two metal rings are installed on the stationary and rotating sides respectively. The O-rings are compressed between the metal rings and housing, generating the required sealing preload. DF-Type Floating Seal: As a core type of mechanical face seal, the DF-type floating seal is designed for rotating equipment operating under extremely harsh conditions. A diamond-shaped elastomer replaces the conventional O-ring. Made of high-quality rubber with excellent oil resistance, heat resistance, and aging resistance, it provides enhanced preload adjustment and displacement compensation. A pair of high-precision metal sealing rings (rotating and stationary) are manufactured through centrifugal casting and precision grinding to ensure close contact between the sealing faces. The elastomer, metal sealing rings, and housing form a stable assembly. XY-Type Floating Seal: The XY-type floating seal is a compact mechanical face seal, also known as a double-cone floating seal, designed for harsh operating conditions in construction machinery, mining equipment, and other heavy-duty applications. It prevents internal lubricant leakage while blocking external contaminants such as mud, water, and abrasive particles, protecting bearings and drive components. Each seal consists of a pair of symmetrical metal floating seal rings and two elastic rubber rings (or O-rings). Floating Seal Rings: The core components are typically made of high-hardness chromium-molybdenum alloy cast iron. The sealing faces are precision-ground to achieve excellent flatness and surface finish. Rubber Rings: Provide preload to keep the two metal sealing faces tightly engaged while compensating for installation tolerances and face wear. Key Features: Excellent wear, contamination, impact, and vibration resistance; automatic compensation for face wear; long service life and high reliability; compact structure, easy installation and maintenance, and relatively low shaft machining requirements. Working Principle: The tapered sealing housing generates radial pressure on the rubber rings, whose axial force presses the precision sealing faces of the two floating rings together. During operation, the two rings rotate relative to each other, forming an extremely thin oil film between the sealing faces for dynamic sealing.
