Hydronit begins local production of its compact hydraulic power units in China for the Asia-Pacific market

Same Italian engineering, same quality standards, now manufactured in
Suzhou through subsidiary MicroHy: faster technical support and
shorter supply chains for OEM customers across the region.

– Hydronit S.r.l., an Italian manufacturer of compact
hydraulic power units (HPUs) headquartered in Varedo, near Milan,
announced today that its Chinese subsidiary MicroHy Electro-Hydraulic
Systems (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. has begun manufacturing selected HPU
components locally for the Asia-Pacific market, using the same
Italian engineering drawings and quality procedures applied at the
Varedo plant. The announcement is timed to bauma CHINA 2026 (Shanghai
New International Expo Centre and Shanghai World Expo Exhibition &
Convention Center, 23-27 November 2026), where Hydronit will present
the new setup to OEM customers in the construction, agricultural
machinery, aerial work platform, and material handling sectors.

Until now, MicroHy assembled and tested Hydronit-designed power
units in China using components imported from Italy. Selected parts
are now produced directly at the Suzhou facility, reducing the volume
of components shipped from Italy to China. The product design,
technical specifications, and quality controls remain unchanged:
units manufactured in Suzhou are built to the same specifications as
those produced in Varedo, and are CE marked under a quality system
certified to ISO 9001:2015.

"Moving part of the production closer to our Asia-Pacific
customers lets us hold local stock, assemble and test units on site,
and respond to technical requests, before and after the sale, without
waiting on intercontinental shipments," said Ing. Andrea
Gambusera, CEO at Hydronit. "The engineering stays Italian. What
changes is how quickly we can support an OEM in China, Korea, or
Southeast Asia."

Local presence in Suzhou Industrial Park

MicroHy Electro-Hydraulic Systems (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. is based in
Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), Jiangsu province, an economic zone
established in 1994 under an intergovernmental agreement between
China and Singapore to support the entry of international
manufacturers into the Chinese market. Hydronit established its
presence there 12 years ago. Suzhou is roughly 100 km west of
Shanghai and is one of the main manufacturing hubs in the Yangtze
River Delta.

With local stock, in-house assembly and testing capability, and
pre- and post-sales technical support based in Suzhou, Hydronit
reports shorter lead times and faster on-site response for customers
across the Asia-Pacific region. Producing components locally instead
of shipping them from Italy also reduces the transport distance for
those parts, lowering the CO2 emissions associated with that leg of
the supply chain. MicroHy's output is dedicated exclusively to the
Asia-Pacific market; Hydronit's European and international customers
outside the region continue to be served from Varedo, Italy and USA’s
customer from the subsidiary in North Carolina.
